A good, inexpensive light to carry around for “just in case” situations.

This is far from one of the best tail-lights out there, but it’s a great value.

This tail light has 5 LEDs and a couple of different blink patterns for dynamic visibility. It’s got a battery that you can charge via USB (cable include) and looks like it lives up to its waterproof rating so far in our testing.

They’re super-easy to use and install/charge.

The light is nice for occasional riding.

For something that’s a little brighter, I recommend this LED bike light set.

Why is it so cheap?

A couple of things separate this light from nicer models.

1. The LEDs aren’t as bright as other tail-lights. But they’re still surprisingly bright for a light at this price point.
2. The battery is smaller.  But since the LEDs aren’t as bright and don’t use as much power as expensive models, a bigger battery isn’t really necessary.  They should last for about 12 hours on the chasing power setting according to the manufacturer.
